Typical baghouses have cylindrical bags hanging vertically in the unit. Bag fabric and design should be designed for maximum filtration efficiency, dustcake release, and durability. |

Plenum Pulse and Pulse-Jet bag designs Pulse-jet and plenum pulse baghouses collect dust on the outside on the filter. A support cage prevents bag collapse during filtration and aids in the re-distribution and cleaning of the dustcake. A wide variety of filter bags are available to meet specific application needs. |
Reverse Air or Shaker designs In baghouses using reverse air or shaker cleaning systems, particles are collected on the inside surface of the bag. The dust laden gas enters through the dirty side (inlet) of the collector and flows up through the bag. The particles are filtered by the dustcake and the fabric, and clean air exits through the outside of the bag. |
